Our food services

  • Picking

    The Patriotes Aid Committee travels daily to Moisson Laurentides to collect food for users of organizations and food counters in the MRC of Deux-Montagnes and Mirabel-Sud. In collaboration with Moisson Laurentides and their supermarket recovery program, CAAP also recovers foodstuffs in participating grocery stores: IGA Deux-Montagnes, IGA Saint-Joseph-du-Lac and Métro Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac.

  • Sorting

    The food is then unloaded into the warehouse of the Patriotes Food Aid Committee so that the team can carry out a rigorous verification of the food. Thanks to sorting, the CAAP ensures that it distributes only consumable foods by removing food at the end of its life.

  • Transformation

    Anxious to help reduce food waste, the Patriotes Food Aid Committee uses, when possible, end-of-life foods that are removed during sorting to create healthy and nutritious recipes. The meals prepared are redistributed with the foodstuffs to organizations and food counters.

  • Distribution

    The CAAP serves an average of 3 organizations or food counters per day for a total of 14 per week. Following sorting, the foodstuffs are separated according to the organizations or food counters to be served during the day.
