Driver helper - Student summer job
The Patriotes Food Aid Committee is a community organization whose mission is to provide food aid to people living in poverty throughout the Territory of the MRC Deux-Montagnes and Mirabel-Sud, through picking, sorting , processing and distribution of foodstuffs. This work is possible thanks to the contribution of a work platform made up of people living with a pervasive developmental disorder, an intellectual and/or physical disability or a mental health problem. We are looking for an assistant driver for the summer of 2024, a student position.
Main responsibilities ;
Loading and unloading the truck
- Handling of boxes of food in the warehouse and distribution of food
- Use of a pallet truck, platform trolley, hand truck, etc.
- Help the driver during food distribution at food counters
- Pick-ups of different foodstuffs from supermarkets and other suppliers
- Truck maintenance (cleaning the box, washing the interior and exterior of the truck)
- When returning to the organization, assists in the warehouse for distribution as well as any other related tasks deemed relevant by the coordinator and/or management.
Requirements required;
- Be a high school student
- Excellent physical ability
- Initiative, versatility, autonomous, punctual, empathy and team spirit
Working conditions;
- Full-time position, summer employment, 30 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Minimum salary of $15.75 / hour
- From Tuesday July 2 to August 22, 2024.
